Where Will Our Children Live and Work?
Planning the future in the Chilterns
This timely event will be held during the initial public consultation period for the Joint Local Plan. This Plan, covering Chiltern and South Bucks, will set out policies used to determine planning applications, site allocations or proposed new development (e.g. housing or employment) and broader land designations (e.g. Green Belt areas). It will run from 2014 to 2036.
The Chamber believes that it is critical to engage with this process, if Chiltern is to remain an area conducive to business, supporting a vibrant community. The conversation is designed to involve members of the Chiltern Community in discussing the future shape of development within Chiltern over the next 20 years.
A short presentation will highlight the issues, demands and constraints on the area for residential/industrial and office space.
Then a Question Time-style panel will discuss and take questions about accommodating our community’s future needs.
Our exciting line-up of speakers includes:
Alex Pratt – Chairman Buckinghamshire Business First
Tony Molesworth – Chairman The Chesham Society
Peter Hudson – Chesham Town Mayor and District Councillor, or Jane MacBean – CDC and Chesham Town Councillor
Chris Spruytenburg – Vice Chairman Chesham Museum
The Amersham Society
A buffet will be provided, and a cash bar will be available.
As well as participating in this very important discussion, there will be opportunity to network with Chamber members and guests.
This event is FREE to members (including members/employees of a member organisation or business), and will cost £10 to non-members, payable on arrival.
