Anne Scott, Committee Member
Anne Scott joined the Chamber Committee in March 2015, having been an Ambassador for around a year.
Originally a pharmacist, Anne retrained as a chocolatier, and set up Auberge du Chocolat in 2005 with her husband.
In common with many people running a small business, her role in the company is extremely varied. She is responsible for all of the chocolate and ice cream production, as well as being heavily involved with social media, advertising, design, marketing, sales… Added to that, she runs parties and workshops for children and adults.
As a company, L’Auberge du Chocolat has won over 70 national and international awards.
With all this in mind, Anne feels that she has a great deal of empathy with the small business person. She says: “Whilst I can’t give professional advice on accounts or the law, I have a lot of hands on experience which I’m very happy to share. I often think a sympathetic ear prepared to listen to and help work through a problem can be invaluable.”
Aside from work, Anne is a member of her local church, and has three grown-up children.
